National Youth Leadership Training (NYLT)
About the Course
NYLT is a five- or six-day course that provides youth members with leadership skills and experience they can use in their home troops and in other situations demanding leadership of self and others. Many troops send their Senior Patrol Leader, Assistant Senior Patrol Leaders, or other rising leaders to NYLT.
The NYLT course centers around the concepts of what a leader must BE, what he must KNOW, and what he must DO. Content is delivered in a troop and patrol outdoor setting where youth leaders can immediately apply what they learn in a fun environment. Through activities, presentations, challenges, and discussions, NYLT participants will learn modern leadership techniques and the confidence to lead well.
